Do Indian Citizens Need a Visa for Hong Kong?

Indian passport holders visiting Hong Kong for up to 14 days for tourism generally do not require a visa. However, they must successfully complete the Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) before travelling. Once approved, the PAR allows eligible Indian travelers to enter Hong Kong for short visits, subject to the immigration officer’s approval upon arrival.

If you plan to stay in Hong Kong for more than 14 days, or if your visit is for purposes such as employment, study, training, or other long-term activities, you must obtain the appropriate Hong Kong visa before travelling.

To ensure a smooth journey, travelers should:

  • Complete the Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) before departure if eligible.
  • Ensure their passport is valid for the required period.
  • Carry proof of onward or return travel and sufficient funds for their stay.
  • Verify the latest entry requirements and immigration regulations before making travel arrangements.

As immigration policies may change, it is recommended to check the most recent Hong Kong visa requirements for Indian citizens before your trip.
